How to work effectively on Tetralith training day, Autumn 2018 - venue Stockholm University

Place: Stockholm University, Stockholm, Sweden
Date: December 5, 2018.

NSC is pleased to present a training day open for all users of NSC resources on December 5th 2018.

This page will be updated as more information becomes available.

What is it?

SNIC’s latest HPC service Tetralith, hosted at NSC, has recently been opened for users. When all components are available in January 2019, Tetralith will be the most powerful HPC service available to SNIC users. This course will give an overview of the system, how to work with it and how to make efficient use of your allocation. We aim to make this event useful for both beginners and more advanced users. It will also provide a forum for direct interactions with consultants from NSC.

During the day we cover topics including:

  • What is new compared with the previous system (Triolith)
  • Getting the most out of your core-hours, running jobs efficiently
  • How to build your own software
  • How to use available software
  • Using jupyter notebooks
  • How to organize your data

The seminar will present useful tools and best practices for working effectively on the new Tetralith HPC system.
